1961-63 Oldsmobile Cutlass / F85 V8 215ci Single Exhaust

This listing covers model years 1961, 1962, and 1963 F85 and Cutlass’s with the stock 215ci and single exhaust.

  • This system is a metal-to-metal connection at the manifold and no gaskets are required there. However, some of these Y pipes do require a gasket at the outlet end and unfortunately Waldron’s does not have these gaskets available.
  • Single exhaust system consists of the Y pipe (flange connection to), rear exhaust pipe, single in/single out same end transverse muffler, and tailpipe. Y pipe may be NORS.

MY 1962 is unique & we will need to know what barrel carburetor was stock and whether your 1962 is a 1st, 2nd, or 3rd design. You will need to report your set-up to us in the check out process. If you are unsure which design you have, this information should help you make a determination:

  1. 1st Design: The propeller shaft center bearing support is mounted to the floor pan.
  2. 2nd Design: The propeller shaft center bearing support is mounted to the cross member. Rear exhaust pipe will have a flat area 34″ from the outlet end.
  3. 3rd Design: The propeller shaft center bearing support is mounted to the cross member. Rear exhaust pipe is round through out (no flattened area).
  • All mufflers are built to the OEM specs. Our Mild Impostor's and Impostors allow you to keep your vehicle stock while changing your exhaust notes. Our Mild Impostor is a middle of the road turbo muffler, designed to give your exhaust a deeper, throatier tone. Our Impostor is a high performance, aggressive turbo muffler.

  • The following statement pertains to pipes only (mufflers have a 1 year warranty regardless of material chosen) and to vehicles that are not daily drivers and are stored in an enclosed building: Aluminized Steel has a life expectancy of 20-25 years and is considered to be truer to the original material on vintage vehicles. T409 Stainless Steel is ferric and magnets will stick to it. T409 stainless steel is the same type of stainless used by car manufactures today and will never rust through, although it may develop pock-marks of rust which can simply be buffed out.
  • When building our exhaust systems; where (or if) it requires a pipe diameter of 2” or larger, it will be 14-gauge tubing, where (or if) it requires a pipe diameter smaller than 2”, it will be 16-gauge tubing.
  • Check out our On-line Swap Meet for both aftermarket and OEM (some) H pipes and Y pipes, along with “odd ball” mufflers.
