    • This application does not have an exhaust manifold. The exhaust pipe serves as the manifold and clamps directly  to the cylinder head. Waldron's Exhaust does not carry the needed clamps.

    • For MY's 1939-40: If your 1939-40 Mercury has the heat exchanger & you intend to reuse it; the system will consist of a cross-over pipe, exhaust pipe, muffler & tailpipe. If your 1939-40 doesn't have the heat exchanger or if it does have it but it is not reusable; the system will consist the 2 pc. Y pipe (AKA cross-over & Y pipe), muffler & tailpipe. You will be asked to report which setup you require in the check out process.
  • This listing covers MY's 1939, 1940, 1941, 1942, 1943, 1944, 1945, 1946, 1947, 1948, 1949, 1950, 1951, 1952 1953, and 1954 Mercury's with the stock flathead V8. Convert your flathead Mercury to a dual exhaust with Waldron's Dual Conversion Kits! This dual conversion kit bolts directly to the stock manifolds (only). Conversion kit consists exhaust pipes, glasspacks, and tailpipes, along with gaskets and clamps. 1949-53 model years will also receive a blocker plate. Hangers are not included. You may opt to change your system from glasspacks to mufflers (for an additional cost) in the check out process. 
    • 1939-41; LS front & rear exhaust pipes start out at 1½" then bump up to 1 7/8" at the muffler, RS exhaust pipe is 1 7/8" with LS/RS tailpipes at 1 5/8".
    • 1942-48; LS front & rear exhaust pipes start out at 1½" then bump up to 1 7/8" at the muffler, RS exhaust pipe is 1 7/8" with LS/RS tailpipes at 1¾".
    • 1949-53; LS front & rear exhaust pipes start out at 1½" then bump up to 2" at the muffler, RS exhaust pipe is 2" with LS/RS tailpipes at 1¾".
    • 1949-51 with rear exit DS manifold; LS exhaust pipe starts out at 1 5/8" then bump up to 2" at the muffler, RS exhaust pipe is 2" with LS/RS tailpipes at 1¾".
    Lead time for this system with glasspacks generally runs 5-6 wks. If you opt for mufflers (not glasspacks), the lead time will be as posted above.
